The NIA, Birmingham

The Grammy award winning George Benson is coming to Birmingham at The NIA this may to bring to you songs from his latest album 'Songs and stories.' along with classic hits such as 'The greatest love of all,' 'Unchained melody' and 'Never give up on a good thing'
With Benson being hailed as one of the greatest jazz musicians, and winning numerous awards including being recognised in 2009 by the national endowment of the Arts as a Jazz master which is the nations highest honour in jazz, it really will be a show jazz lovers must see.

At various points along the four-decade continuum of George Benson's career, he has been heralded as a jazz guitarist of unparalleled chops and a vocalist with great emotional range and sophistication. However, he regards himself as an entertainer in the broadest sense of the word - a singer of songs, a spinner of tales. That's the essence, song's and stories.
