The latest round of stars to sign up to compete in the 2010 UK Tour are bookies favourite to win this year’s Dancing on Ice TV series, Hayley Tamaddon, Boyzone’s Mikey Graham, Gaynor Faye, Casualty’s Chris Fountain and X Factor finalist Ray Quinn. Singer and actor Ray was crowned the winner of the last series and won almost every night on the 2009 tour. Ex-Corrie star Gaynor Faye was the winner of the first series and Chris Fountain was a runner up in the series three. Emily Atack and Gary Lucy are both dancing in the current series. Clare Buckfield, best known for her role on 2point4 Children, took second place in the 2007 series of Dancing On Ice and took one of the highest scores in the show for a performance. They will all dance on ice around the LG Arena to specially choreographed routines by skating legends Torvill & Dean. More than 750,000 people have been to see the tour in previous years, enjoying the stunning performances and individual routines. The audience will be able to use their mobile phone to text vote for their favourite dancing couple at each live show. The votes will then be added to the scores from the judges to decide the winner. Once the votes have been counted, the winning celebrity will join their skating partner to perform a magical finale. All profits from text voting go to charity and more than £80,000 has been raised to date!
